‘Its no secret that every player dreams of wearing the national-team shirt, Cracovia player Damian Dąbrowski talks Poland debut.

- Yesterday you made your Poland debut against Slovenia. How was it?

- It was a huge deal for me. I was very happy that my second international call-up resulted in a debut. Its no secret that every player dreams of wearing the national-team shirt. I got a chance to play for 10 minutes, I would have loved to get more time on the pitch, but I respect Adam Nawałkas decision. Im very happy to be one of the players who receive call-ups. The debut was an important moment for me.

- You did quite well during 10 minutes you got on the pitch. Are you happy with your performance?

- I think I played a couple of good passes. It was important for me to avoid sloppy passing as then we would have made a way for Slovenia to create a quick counter-attacks. Theres really not much to say about my performance. Im just glad to have made a debut and I hope that next year Ill also get a chance to play for the national team.

- Will it make you work even harder now?

- For sure! I want to prove I am in form, especially that when you play well for your club, it allows for you to be noticed by the Poland manager. Were all here at Cracovia fully focused and determined to start winning. We will give our best in the upcoming games and hopefully well be victorious.

- The first chance for victory will come on Friday when you take on Piast Gliwice.

- Yeah, were working really hard to be ready for this game. We havent won away so far so were hoping itll change on Friday. We know its not going to be easy as Piast are a great team and they will also want to grab three points, but we will show our mettle.
