Niko Datković has talked to us about Cracovias great start to the second part of the Lotto Ekstraklasa season and the upcoming Pogoń fixture.

- You played against Śląsk and Jagiellonia as we kicked off the spring in the Ekstraklasa and then you were out for two games due to a minor injury. On Sunday against Arka you came off the bench after the break. Is everything alright now?

- I have suffered a sprained ankle. It was a recurring injury so I had to take a short break and let it heal, which meant I wasnt available for selection against Legia and Wisła Płock. But everything is fine now. I felt good playing against Arka.

- It wasnt one of Cracovias prettiest performances, but what counts is the fact you grabbed all three points.

- Thats right, we really needed to win all three points. Weve had a good start to the second part of the season and I hope we will be able to keep it up.

- Coach Probierz said that you treat every match like a final.

- Yes, we do. At this stage of the season every single game is of great importance. What is more, we try to focus on every upcoming match rather than look ahead to the future and it has worked for us so far. We are all working hard in order to be well prepared.

- You have reduced the gap to top 8 to five points.

- We were nine points behind at the start of the spring so its quite a good result. But right now were trying not to think about how many points we still need to gain to make it. There are four games left in the regular season, we will do our best in every single one of them.

- On Saturday you travel to Szczecin to play against Pogoń. What can you say about your next opponent?

- We have watched Pogoń games and they are a very good team. I think that in some of their last matches they didnt have much luck as they could have won even more points. It will be a difficult game so we need to play with maximum concentration and show fighting spirit.
