‘Tomorrow is our last friendly here in Spain and the competitive games are not that far away, Cracovia forward Krzysztof Piątek talks about the winter training camp.

- What are your thoughts ahead of tomorrows friendly with SV Ried?

- We really want to win this friendly, especially considering our last defeat to Dacia Chișinău. Be it a friendly game or a competitive one we always need to give our best and try to achieve a good result. We all want to show the coach we deserve to play in the Ekstraklasa spring games. It is also of paramount importance that we dont get injured as now with one week to go there would not be enough time to get back on track before the second part of the season.

- Youre going to meet with SV Ried from the Austrian Bundesliga which is at a similar level to Polish Ekstraklasa.

- Thats true. A year ago I faced SV Ried as a Zagłebie Lubin player. It is very difficult to play against them as they press the opponent high up the pitch making it difficult to cross the centre of the pitch. Its going to be a challenge for us.

- SV Ried are your fourth opponent here in Spain. What do you make of the previous friendlies against Shakhtar Donetsk, Yanbian Funde and Dacia Chișinău?

- Shakhtar are a team of high European level so it was a great treat for us to play against them. We played quite well and really fought for it, especially in the first half, even though we fell to defeat. In the second friendly against the Chinese side we were the dominant team. We dominated possession not giving opponents too much room so it was a well-worth win for us. And when it comes to the last friendly against Dacia it was difficult to play because of the strong wind. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, but I think we should have won.

- The training camp is coming to an end. How would you sum it up?

- We are a bit fatigued as we have training sessions twice a day, our legs feel quite heavy. However, tomorrow is our last friendly here in Spain, the competitive games are not that far away so were not be training so hard from now on. The truth is I am happy were going back to Poland in three days. Theres no place like home.

- Its quite snowy in Poland...

- Yeah, its not easy to train in Poland but weve already done the hardest part. We miss our families and the Ekstraklasa - we really want to play some competitive games now!
