Tomáš Vestenický: I am happy the coach trusted me and gave me the chance to play

Tomáš Vestenický, who plays for Pasy on loan from AS Roma, talks about his Cracovia debut.
- On Wednesday you made your Cracovia debut. How do you remember that day?
- I am delighted about my debut and our victory against Ruch Chorzów. I am very happy the coach trusted me and gave me the chance to play. It was an important match for me as I didnt have an opportunity to play for quite some time.
- Are you happy about your performance?
- Yes, I think I am satisfied with what I did during the twenty minutes the coach gave me. I play as a forward, but last Wednesday I also had some work to do in defense. I came onto the pitch when we were 3-2 ahead, which meant I had to help the team do everything not to concede another goal.
- It was a really thrilling game.
- Thats true. It was a great game to watch. It was a game full of twists and turns, the two teams took turns at leading, plus our goalkeeper made a couple great saves. The fans must have really enjoyed watching that game.
- Youre still quite new to Cracovia. How do you get along with your new teammates?
- Really well. Erik Jendrišek is my best friend on the team as we are both from Slovakia. And because Erik spends a lot of time with our captain, Piotr Polczak, I already managed to get to know him, too. There are many young players in Cracovia and I also made friends with them. I have to say I get along perfectly well with the whole team.
- On Sunday you will face Lech Poznań, the team that won the league championship last year.
- Yeah, its going to be a difficult game as well as all the others that are ahead of us. All games begin with a 0 to 0 score and if you want to win, you just have to fight for it. If you consider our last few games, you will see that we are a strong team and so were going to Poznań to win three points.
