UEFA Europa League: We know the referee of our match in Malmö

The european federation has announced the referees squad for the first qualifying round of Europa League.

Thanks to the announcement, we know that Cracovia's match with Malmö FF will be performed by Urs Schnyder, a Swiss national referee. On the lines, the referee will be assisted by Marco Zürcher and Benjamin Zürcher, and Alessandro Dudic has been appointed as technical judge.

The first whistle will blow on August the 27th at Eleda Stadium, on 7:30 p.m. time.

Malmö FF is the current vice-champion of Sweden. During last season, the team from the port city has ended as one-point-less side to the champions from Djurgårdens IF. However, the European rival of Cracovia had the lowest number of losses in the season at the time - Malmö lost to their opponents only three times out of 30 meetings. The 2019 season (as the Swedish league played in the spring/autumn system) ended with a goal difference of 56-16, which was also the lowest number of goals lost in the whole league.

The Swedish team also achieved the Swedish Cup final, losing to IFK Göteborg by 1:2. In the current season of Allsvenskan (the highest league of the country) the players of our rival are in the leader position with 31 points after the 14 games played.

Malmö FF play its matches at the Eleda Stadium, a modern stadium with 22,500 seats available. Due to the sanitary restrictions in the European games, the stands will remain empty during the meeting with Cracovia.
